40_Avenue

The 40 Avenue Restaurant and Bar has a vintage concept with the hanging chandeliers which is kinda new in Palembang. It has a classic and elegance but also cute concept at the same time. we fell in love in the moment we entered this restaurant.
As we know that it's quite difficult to find a restaurant in palembang with a nice interior and good food as well. few days ago , we visited 40_avenue Restaurant and bar . We really like the design and the interior of this place. 

As we walked inside, we were awed by the elegance of the place. I mean, look at that big table and the gold colors that create the glamour atmosphere.

This restaurant is divided into two areas: smoking and non-smoking areas. In the inside, the restaurant was divided into different concept and design with the different type of wallpapers, tables and seats  for each area. So let’s take a quick look at the first floor before we move on to the second floor, which is the outdoor area.

 The first level's where the cuteness and the prettiness overload. And they have this garden-type area which is also our’s favorite area.

At the back, they also have a bar with the bartender to make your special drink.

The first floor also has a big private room (VIP Room) which is perfect choice for your small parties, special occasion dining, or anniversaries & celebration . You can use the private room for maximum 3 hours (IDR 250.000/hours for the extra hours) with the minimum spending IDR 1.500.000. This room can fit 15-20 persons. It’s better for you to make a reservation before to ensure the availability.

They provide the Television and Audio and even karoke songs for you to sings here.

Let’s move on to the second floor. The second floor is the "outdoor" area of this restaurant with the replica of vintage street lights and a cute big swing. We really like the second floor area, but the temperature can be quite hot in the afternoon, but still, it’s perfect to take pictures in here.

thats all for the interior , now lets move for the Food.

For the food, the 40 Avenue Restaurant and Bar has so many different kind of food, from  the soup, steak, pasta, Indonesian food, Western, Dessert, cocktail, etc. Let’s take a look some of the menu.

For the Idul Adha, they made special package menu for just IDR 65.000. ( this special menu only last until End of September 2015 ).

1. Beef Skewer with butter rice + Love in heart (IDR 65.000)

We were impressed by the visual presentation of the beef skewer and the generous portion of the butter rice. As a big fan of the beef, I can’t say no to this big sliced of beef in the skewer. The meat is quite tender and I can say they only use the meat (without the fat) so it’s so yum! This package also comes with the Love in Heart with the combination of strawberry, lemon and soda.

2.  Roti Canay with Lamb Curry + Flamborghini ( IDR 65.000)

Chrunchy Roti Canay served with the delicious curry. We like the beef curry because the texture of the curry isn’t too thick like the other “curry”. It’s also served together with the red chili pepper for the spicy lover.

As for the drink, they made a perfect combination of raspberry, lemon and sprite.

3. Spaghetti Spicy Tuna (IDR 40.000,-)

An italian spaghetti cooked together with spicy tuna sauce and topped with cheese. The sauce was cooked together with paprika for extra spiciness, but as the Spicy lover I can say it’s not spicy at all. LOL!!

4. Sirloin Steak (IDR 100.000,-)

For the steak, they prepare imported meat that served together with mashed potato and quite a big portion of mixed vegetables. They have 3 types of sauces that you can choose for the steak : BBQ sauce, Mushroom Sauce, and Black Pepper Sauce.

5. Rocca (IDR 27.500) 

Fried Tape that served with ice cream and vanilla caramel.

6. Waffle (IDR 25.000)

The golden-brown colored waffle with fresh strawberries, melon and mango topped with chocolate ice cream and sweet chocolate sauce. (You can ask the waiter for the different flavours of the ice cream).
