CRAZY CRAB Palembang

This month, So many places are opening in town, and luckily I managed to visit most of them!  NO NO! LOL!  Just kidding folks. I just love to share and publish the new places for you. Earlier today, I visited this new opening in Palembang Icon Mall called CRAZY CRABS! Located just across Cinemaxx in 3rd floor, Crazy Crabs specialize in Seafoods ( Of COURSE!!).

I just love the "Crazy Crab" character. The Crab look somehow "crazy" with those big eyes!

Crazy Crabs is one of unique place to eat seafood. Yes, I think this is so new in palembang, because you eat a bunch of crabs or seafood in front of you with your own hands and without the plate. WOW!! It still new, and today is their opening, Hope you guys visited here!!

The ambience is quite nice, There's outdoor area for people who love smoke and of course enjoy palembang city view. Feel like eating in a beach babe!! BUT I prefer the indoor in this SUPER HOT DAY!

Flying crabs??!

It's not about only seafood that they served in here, you can also order other menus such as Gyutandon, Pasta, Ramen, and etc.

Well, I'm going to explain first about their special menu, First of all they have 2 Combo pack. First one is the biggest one and it contains various of seafood and crabs!! YEAHH!!. The second one is not include crabs, BUT you can ADD the crabs by ordering it by yourself. The price is seasonal so I can't give you the exact price when you eat it later. Also, you could add other dishes to your combo such prawn, squids with extra charge.

One point that I love eating here was there's no plate, no appliances and nowhere to be tidy. They are going to bring your Seafood in a big plastic bag and then pour the foods on the table that covered in the plastic before. If you are Freak of clean! Well, Prepare to get dirty guys...

Let's start the seafood RAVING!

1. SPICY FRENCH FRIES (18,8 K )

This one is really spicy! I mean it! You're going to be suprised, But we LOVED it! This is really crunchy, savory and cooked nicely. Also this one had proper seasoning. WELL DONE!

2. COMBO PACK 1 ( 388K )

Before we get to the actual dishes, This is the weapons that we need to crack the shell's crab. But, you can also asked the waitress/waiter to crack the shell for you. BUT, where's the FUN??

Okay Let's START!!

TILL THE LAST DROP YUHU!!

WOW, SEE!! it's Gigantic troops of Seafood in your table! Lots of prawns, White clams, Squids and don't forget the Champion, CRABS!! It consist of 1KG CRABS, 300gr Sea Prawns, 250gr Squids and 250gr White Clams. Yes, I know that the one in the picture are not the white clams, so we asked the waitress and she explained that the clams are seasonal so they can't predict the availability and change the white clams for green clams instead. Besides the seafood, the combo also consist of potato, sweet corn on cob, western sausages, and carrots.

All of the dishes is really FRESH! YES ! It's so juicy and buttery. Really magnificant! When the dishes came to our table, we can't stop ate it! lol!!
For the sauce, they had 5 choices, Spicy garlic crazy crab ( level 1- 5 ) , Angry curry, White pepper sauce, Black pepper sauce, and White cream sauce.

But for combo one (the one in the pic) you can just choose 2 which is, Angry curry or white cream sauce.
If you Spicy lover, the one and only you should choose is ANGRY CURRY!
Definitely going to melt your Mouth! If you want to add more sauce, you get extra charge 20K.

The portion is Really BIG for combo 1,  We came 4 people and it's really make our tummy FULL to the MAX. I think it's quite great for 4 or 5 people. This one is really STUNNING! ( just scroll down, I'm going to make you DROOL for this )

3. SWEET CORN ON COB ( 15,8 K )

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATED THIS! I'm pretty sure you gonna be loved this. These corn, are dressed with Special sweet sauce and it's really juicy! I mean it! I ate it till last bite! It's so sweet and tasty! Excellent!!

4. CRAZY GREEN CHILI OMU-RICE ( 38.8K )

Well, As the name written. It's Freakin Crazy spicy!! Really-Really Spicy, It combine with omellete, Dori Fish,Green rice, and lots Green cabbage!! So Spicy!! The Rice is soft and turns great when you mix it all and ate it. In my opinion, the taste is quite similiar to green chili from "Nasi Padang", but this one made differently. For Spicy lover i think you should try this! Don't Blame me after that! LOL!

5. FLYING DRINK ( 28K )
Yeah, Flying drink! you could choose 3 various flavours, Hawaian pome, Lime and Strawberry. Freshing up my day in this HOT DAY!! I love the strawberry one!!

OVERALL!!

I was not experiencing a disgusting smell like how I usually experienced when having seafood most of the times, must be goddamn fresh! Well folks, This is recommended restaurant for seafood lover! I promise you will love it!!


I had a beautiful visit to the Crazy Crab, the food was amazing, none really dissapointing me. The ambiance was nice, the staff was friendly and really attentive!

Never doubt it, Pretty Sure im going to come back here again and eat here. Gonna be my TOP 5 List Best Seafood resturant!
